The Mrutunjayeshwar temple is situated on Karve Road, Pune . It is an ancient temple but its origin cannot be traced. This temple was owned by Sardar Haripant Phadke,  a Sardar of Peshwa and was subsequently donated to the Peshwas as dowry .

The temple is surrounded by a beautiful garden . It is frequently visited by devotees and there is continuous chanting of bhajan and kirtan , lectures and entertainment programs for which an open-air auditorium  has been constructed by the trust.
